I Think I'm Just Mad?
That's the mood, folks. Mad. And maybe... sad.
Working online can be exhausting for many different reasons. Sometimes, I miss working in an office (a decade ago!), or even having an hourly foodservice or retail job (almost two decades ago!).
Of course, I am grateful to have this option to even try to work online. I'm currently unable to work my previous “real” jobs even when I want to.
Lately, though, I've been feeling so mentally and emotionally drained. I was already feeling exhausted with the way so many treat “Grant's case” like mere entertainment, when it's a real life injustice.
I was already feeling frustrated with short attention spans or people who complain that they don't like it when I cover “these” stories.
I was already exhausted by seemingly constant criticism of my writing, my parenting, my body, and more.
Whenever I'm feeling that much overwhelm, I should probably stay away from social media—I know. But I also use social media to promote my writing and even to try to stay informed on certain other topics.
